In Your Hands

about

Early in the EP but late in the day for us as this was the most recent one that we worked on for the EP (although the song is still a couple of years old). It was one of those songs that didn't require all that much effort to get together, which tends to indicate it'll be a keeper. Of the tracks on the EP this is probably the best indicator of where we're likely to head next musically. Lyrically this was mostly done in the car on long journeys from home, which probably has a lot to do with the underlying themes of feeling a bit lonely and tired.

lyrics

Turn back around and come close enough to feel my beating heart work yours in time.
I'm humbled and alarmed you found comfort in my arms if only you could find me here right now we would talk about how we waited for too long.
Won't you hear me now I've thought about how to keep you here with me, would you mine if I wrapped your fingers around mine?
It's all I'd need to have you here right now to talk about how we'd waited for too long. Won't you hear me now I thought about how

In your hands I could barely think with a purpose, in your hands I could barely believe we were worth this you made me think that somehow we wouldn't sleep

In your hands; I'll never be In your hands
I've never been to sleep

about

Thinktank UK

Unabashadly proggy pop music with intricate, fiddly guitars and lots of pedals. We work on the basis that anything plus reverb is great.
